Welcome to the homepage of Siv Boalt Boëthius!
Siv Boalt Boëthius is professor emerita at
Stockholm University, licensed psychologist and
psychoanalyst (member of IPA).
From 1988-2002 I was principal of a university
college, the Erica Foundation, an independent
institute, financed by the government and Stockholm
county council, providing child and adolescent
psychotherapy, training and research.
I was visiting professor at Copenhagen University
2002–2003 and responsible for research projects on
e.g. group psychotherapy for young adults and child
psychotherapy.
During 2002–2007 I was the president of EFPP (the
European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy),
an umbrella organization based on a national
membership for 26 countries in Europe with about 15 000 psychoanalytic psychotherapists.
I am a member (former president and vice
president) of AGSLO (the Swedish Foundation for the
Study of Leadership and Organisation), OPUS (an
Organization for Promoting Understanding of
Society), IPA (the International Psychoanalytic
Association) and ISPSO (the International
Organization for the Psychoanalytic Study of
Organizations). I am on the editorial board for
Small Group Research, and on the international
advisory boards for Organisational and Social
Dynamics and Journal of Child Psychotherapy.
My research is mainly focused on group and
organizational issues including group supervision
and psychotherapy training.
In 2010 I started a two-year advanced level training
program at
the department of psychology, Stockholm University.
It consists of six courses focusing on
organizational development, leadership, the role as
consultant, change processes, the inner dynamic of
organizations, work and health and methodological
issues. The next training program will start in
2012.
